Old School Vs. New School
Old School: We have gone from a place where the business knows more than the customer. “Customers are not as knowledgeable as we are.”
New School: Google searches bring access across the internet to information, basically open kimono. “Customers can find out what they want to.”
There is an essential shift in market dynamics around this occurance.
The game has quickly moved from what you know, to who knows you. It’s always been who you know, but now it’s who knows you.
